The new era of online 'Riot Grrrls'

Riot Grrrls, originating in the mid-90's, are a subcultural group of third-wave feminist bands who were an underground feminist punk rock movement who addressed issues such as sexuality, racism, patriarchy and femal empowerment.

They exceeded the social boundaries and norms in which females are the weaker sex and should be kept within their own social circles and social activities as they took their place in the male-dominated punk-rock scene. What is it that prevents us from so-called 'male' groups? Women can be as strong as men, as skilled as men and as wise as men. The only reason that women are stuck in the stereotypical bubble is due to the ideas of society.

If women could create their place within such a 'male' activity and genre, why can't we create a place in other male-dominated scenes like online video gaming?

Why can't we spend all day in bed shooting down aliens aswell?

Because not only men but women adhere to the ideas of what a woman 'should be'.

The Riot Grrrl groups try to dissolve the stereotyping of women, but how can they try to solve this problem when women are playing up to the stereotypes given to them and making the Riot Grrrl views seem void?
